Brasília experienced one of those nights that stays in your chest and on mental repeat. On Friday, October 17, 2025, Worlld Brasília hosted the 2000s edition of Festa Fliperama (Arcade Party), featuring a cathartic performance by American band The Calling. And if you survived the era of 10-track CDs and Winamp, you were right at home.
It promised a time-travel experience and it delivered.
The venue, decorated with references to early 2000s pop aesthetics, set the perfect atmosphere for the arrival of Alex, Dom, Arms, and Marc. Shortly after 11 PM, The Calling took the stage, delivering a masterclass in effortless quality. Alex’s vocals, still with that raspy, urgent tone that defined their early millennium hits, sounded sharp and full of emotion.
The setlist hit all the right notes: “Adrienne,” “Stigmatized,” “Could It Be Any Harder”, all received as anthems by a generation that grew up without letting go of its teenage soundtrack. Even the lesser-known tracks were met with generous enthusiasm by the crowd — a visibly passionate and multigenerational audience.
All in all, Festa Fliperama felt like a reunion with a simpler time. The Calling gave the crowd exactly what they came for: an honest show, free of excess, yet packed with emotion and memories. And those who were there likely went home with a rare feeling, that of being a teenager again, if only for a few hours.
