The Calling’s 2025 tour arrived in full force, bringing back the 2000s pop rock that won the hearts of millions of fans around the world. The band, led by Alex Band, made a point of keeping their word after the show originally scheduled for 2024 was canceled due to the severe floods in Rio Grande do Sul. In a statement prior to the cancellation, Alex had promised that the band would return to fulfill their tour, and when he took the stage at Bar Opinião, he finally delivered on that promise to the fans in the region.

A reunion with the nostalgia of the past

The show began with the nostalgic atmosphere that the band always brings to the stage, and the opening act featured Lost Obsidian, a rock band from Rio Grande do Sul, who warmed up the audience with their heavy, energetic sound, setting the tone for the night.

With Bar Opinião packed, Alex Band stepped onto the stage to the sound of “For You”, one of The Calling’s biggest hits, and the crowd was overwhelmed with emotion. What promised to be a high-energy show quickly became a celebration of music and the deep bond between the band and its fans.

A connection between band and fans

In addition to the main performance, the night included more intimate moments of interaction. Many fans had the chance to participate in the Meet & Greet, held hours before the show, where a few lucky ones got to take photos and chat with the band.

Alex Band, with his signature warmth, made a point of engaging with the fans, thanking them for their patience in waiting for the rescheduled date, and reflecting on the special connection he has always had with Brazilian audiences.

The show’s impact on the local music scene

The event was a reaffirmation of the love between the band and its Brazilian followers. For many, the concert was a chance to relive a piece of their youth, a time marked by The Calling’s music, which defined an entire generation in the early 2000s.

The combination of an intimate venue like Bar Opinião, known for its vibrant energy and close connection with the audience, and the nostalgic atmosphere the band brings, made the show a truly unique experience for everyone in attendance.
