The Calling thrills 20,000 people at free show in Praça Arautos da Paz

On Sunday, October 19, 2025, Praça Arautos da Paz in Campinas hosted a memorable night for rock fans. The American band The Calling, internationally known for their hit "Wherever You Will Go," performed for free as part of the Festival Orbital Rock – Rockphonic Edition. The event attracted around 20,000 people, who braved the cold night to enjoy the performance.
The show began around 10:00 PM and featured classics like "Adrienne," "Our Lives," and "Stigmatized," as well as tracks from the band’s most recent album. The audience’s energy was contagious, with applause and cheers throughout the entire performance.
Before the main show, the festival included performances by local and regional bands such as Rockphonic, Suhai, Cura, Mox, Lost Obsidian, and Caçadores Espaciais, along with DJ Dedão’s sets, which energized the crowd with rock classics during the intervals.
The event was organized in partnership with the Secretariat of Culture, Economy, and Creative Industries of the State of São Paulo, the Municipal Secretariat of Culture and Tourism of Campinas, and the Associação Paulista dos Amigos da Arte (APAA). Free admission made the event accessible to everyone, reinforcing the commitment to democratizing culture and music.
The Campinas performance marked the conclusion of The Calling’s Brazilian tour, which included other cities such as Vitória, Nova Iguaçu, Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Santo André, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, and Brasília. The band expressed their gratitude to the Brazilian audience on social media, highlighting the warm reception and the fans’ contagious energy.
